Help – Vero Made in Italy for Naturally is discontinued

Mar.23, 2012

black-and-white-vest1.jpg is now discontinued!!!

What to do, I have a number of patterns I sell on Etsy at Unique Boutique Knits including my Neck Warmer and Classic Beret patterns using this lovely 100% pure wool yarn.

What yarn are you using if you are creating from a pattern suggesting Naturally Vero?

Help!

hi, it looks like the cleakheaton kaleidoscope would be ok for your patterns. I hadn’t realised that Vero was discontinued … I have quite a stash of vero I will never use so was going to sell it on trade me!

Thank you for that suggestion Helen,

I have just checked out Cleckheaton Kaleidoscope on KnitWorld site and it looks a close match. Will report back once I have found a source locally cause the closest Knit World is nearly 100 k away on the other side of Auckland. Knit World Cleckheaton Kaleidoscope

I have just read that Helen has stock of Vero wool. How do I contact her? I am needing 5 or 6 balls of Shade 77 in the discontinued Vero wool. With thanks , Jenny

Dear Jenny, I am sorry I do not know who Helen is – but colour 77 of naturally Vero is still available at Trendsetter Yarns online store I have some Vero yarn but not the colour you need – sorry, regards ConnieLene

I am knitting a jumper in Naturally Vero Shade 15 Lot 58621 and will probably need another 2 balls. I have rung almost every wool shop in the Nth Island of NZ looking for it. Can anyone help

I have posted your request on facebook and via Twitter to see if it can be found for you. I did have a bit of a hunt online myself as well, but no joy there. I’ve not included your contact details, if someone out there has some they will let me know and I can give you the contact to follow up with yourself. I hope you do get the yarn you need.

Where are you up to with the knitting? Maybe there will be another way to deal with the problem like if you are knitting in the round you can add a complimentary colour in stripes which will not shout out its presence – for instance. Connie
