OK Ava – it is done
Mar.14, 2011
bar the blocking, that is. I did crochet shells around the edge and when you grow bigger than the cot blanket is – your Gran can crochet further rounds so that it will grow with you.
Ok Sharon, all you need to do is a treble crochet in the shallows between the shells and 2 chains followed by a double crochet in the middle treble of the crochet shell – so 1 treble, 2 chains, 1 dc, 2 chains, 1 treble. Easy peasy
And now Ava I do have finish the bed spread / throw for your Uncle. It is in red, black, silver greys. It is knitted the same way as your cot blanket, on the diagonal. I need to finish it before we leave to come back to live in New Zealand and of course to meet you.
Sleep well.

Hello. I read “OK Ava – it is done – ConnieLene – KnitDesigner”. It is a fantastic little story. Hope you get the wedding rug done soon. It must be huge

Thank you Lisa – the wedding throw / rug / bedspread is huge. Our own bed is a queen size (NZ queen size) and it hangs down about 10 inches or so on each side.
I do need to finish it before it gets much warmer as I am enveloped in it as I knit because of its size. Feels really warm and quite luxurious.
