The Woolly-Walk-Along

The woolly walk along on Devonport Wharf information

There will be heaps of people in Auckland during September/October this year due to the Rugby World Cup and many people will visit beautiful Devonport. Knitty Graffity is creating an outdoor wool art exhibition for Aucklanders and visitors alike to enjoy. The plan is to cover as much as possible of the wooden hand rail along the Devonport Wharf in Auckland.

So be creative!

Knit or crochet something beautiful. Use any colours and yarns you like. A stripped piece is great but if you would like to be a bit more creative – go for it! Feel free to add further embellishments, just make sure that they are firmly attached to your piece before sending. see the link above for size and shape ifnormation.

If you would like to participate in this exhibition, please send an email to knittygraffity@hotmail.com. She would love to know what country you are from since this is likely to be an art collaboration with people from all over the world and will reply with details on where to send your piece of art when it’s finished. It must be in New Zealand by the end of July – so get knitting or crocheting quickly.

There will be a TV documentary made about this art project! Exciting!

I think we have said it already – we (Best Beloved and I) installed a ball cover / disguise on a ball outside Vodafone offices yesterday morning in Maastricht.

Maybe Vodafoners are so used to odd ball things which is why they just walked by without so much as a sideways glance.

So successfully installed.
