The Red Socks – IOU’S
May.11, 2010
Now I do not believe that knitting red socks is in any way stepping up to a great challenge, but it is stepping up to a great knitting challenge.
I have never knitted socks.
There you go I have said it.
I have never knitted socks.
Now I am saying
I am going to knit socks – they are going to be Red socks
So I have said it loud
I am going to knit socks – they are going to be Red socks
I guess that means that I do have to knit the two pairs of socks as promised. You know those IOUs I have mentioned just a few times before.
Peter Blake was a man who stepped up to every challenge that came his way. He also wore red socks and they became a part of his sailing gear. Sir Peter Blake Trust Leadership in Action.
Read about Sir Peter Blake and the wonderful Red Socks, that have inspired New Zealand. Sir Peter Blake liked to wear his red socks for good luck, and during the America’s Cup Challenge of 1995 New Zealanders supported the boat by putting on their own red socks. New Zealanders still don red socks in memory and support of the Sir Peter Blake Trust.
